Senior Associate Strategy

Role Purpose:
The (Senior) Associate will work closely with, and report directly to the Director of Strategy and Director of Operations at Artan Holding. He/she is expected to support the Directors in their daily management of the Holding, with work duties encompassing a wide variety of tasks spanning from analytical assignments to operations management to project management across the fields of strategy, operations, finance, and more. He/she will work with a high degree of autonomy and be proactive in finding and driving impact for the organization. The Associate will build direct relations with all key stakeholders in the Holding, including management of the Holding, its group companies, and shareholders.

Job Details

Role duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct strategic analyses such as market & competition analyses, company strategy, and resource allocation for the various Group Companies that fall under the Holding
  • Conduct operational analyses, including designing and implementing performance management mechanisms, optimizing existing processes and designing new ones, and identifying and resolving bottlenecks across the organization
  • Conduct financial analyses, including cost/benefit analyses, company valuation, investment opportunity evaluation, and company budgeting
  • Translate analyses into documents (e.g. PowerPoint) that can be presented to the Holding’s senior leadership and shareholders
  • Project-manage tasks, from introducing new software to helping Group Companies write their strategy to assisting with the start of new businesses
  • Act as a thought-partner to management of the Holding and its Group companies on a wide variety of topics
  • Identify, build, and maintain partnerships with external parties
  • Manage stakeholders, including being the voice to the rest of the organization of the Director of Strategy and Director of Operations when they are not available

Role Requirements:

  • Proactive mindset with a ‘can do attitude’
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex problems and design action plans to address them
  • Effective in working with diverse teams and moving people to act
  • Genuine interest in, and basic understanding of, business, strategy, finance, and operations
  • High eagerness to learn and develop yourself as a professional
  • 2-5 years of work experience in similar roles or organizations
  • University-degree (BSc or higher) from a respected institution
  • Fluency in English. Arabic is a plus
  • Financial modeling experience is a plus
